Conacul Bratescu

A family boutique hotel

We should all be grateful because there are people who create magical places and invite us in. This is how by hard work, passion and involvement they are always making our stays cozy, beautiful and inspiring. Conacul Brătescu was built in this way by a Romanian young couple born and raised in Bran. Even if Bran may sound like a crowded place, we have to explain that this mansion is located in a very quiet area, surrounded by nature and having a lovely view over the houses and mountains.

A place with story

Brătescu name has a certain resonance in Bran. Mr. Emil Brătescu (the father), was a well known Romanian language teacher, regularly welcoming famous people to events related to literature, politics and culture. The long meetings that were ending long time after midnight were just like when you close your eyes and deeply smell an old book. What great times!

Each room offering a different feeling

Conacul Brătescu is called a boutique hotel, as each room was designed in a different way, having a separate story and offering a different feeling. We chose the romantic Blue Room and we were delighted. Quiet evenings spent on the small terrace, breathing that mountain strong air, all perfect for a deep relaxing sleep. As we could not stop ourselves from sneaking around, we checked all the free rooms and decided we need to come back here and accommodate also in other rooms, to try all the feelings. So, next booking will be made for Rhapsody Room, Charming Vista or the Imperial Suite.

What to eat

The restaurant is big, it can accommodate almost 60 people and is also a very nice option for small events. The fireplace that governs the room is a joy in the evening, every table having a direct view towards it. The food is tasty, there are plenty of options to choose from and together with the wine list, the mix is perfect. Try the traditional soups, a main course and the pancakes for dessert.

What to do

Reading. Taking pictures. Watching the fireplace. Contemplating

Inside Conacul Brătescu you will find only relaxation and time standing still. So reading, searching for a perfect spot for photography, watching the fireplace, contemplating life and stillness are the perfect things to do here.
