Just couple of minutes away from Râșnov we found a beautiful property after leaving the main road behind. Our first reaction when we saw the design of this unique retreat hotel was „Wow, how did they build this?” More surprises were following as we entered and discovered all the details. The nest design of the buildings is something particular, as you will not find this kind or architecture in other places.
Comfortable hideaway
The location was built having in mind the traditional values and the warmth of that safe, personal space. The hotel is located in an open area, having an amazing view towards the mountains. The rooms, all of them with the same beautiful view, are comfortable and spacious. You will find here three types of rooms: the double ones that are all located at the base floor, the apartments, very good for families and the duplex rooms, having a beautiful living room on the first floor and a cozy bedroom on the top floor.
A breathe of fresh air
The place just invited us to stay close. The area around the hotel is multifunctional so the options are many: bicycle rent, tubing, walks in the neighbourhood, sauna or Jacuzzi. More than this, we are just minutes away from Râșnov fortress, Râșnov cave and Cheile Râșnoavei. Also, in 15 minutes by car Bran can be reached, with the amazing Bran Castle.
Local cuisine with a touch
The restaurant of Cuibul de Lemn was a wonderful surprise. We found here many options, all dishes being tasty and the plates looking amazing. The menu contains good local cuisine mixed with some international flavours. Everything is cooked perfectly and you will not be wrong if you choose to have all the meals inside. We remember very well the chicken with garlic, the duck and our traditional tasty desert, Papanași.
Bran and Râșnov, as described before, are a good option if you want to travel around. Still, if you want more, in 20 minutes by car you can reach Brașov city and in 30 minutes Poiana Brașov. So, four good options in maximum 30 minutes away from Cuibul de Lemn.Cuibul de Lemn was a newly built place when we first saw it. The official opening took place at the end of 2019 but we still felt like they had been doing this for years. The staff was very helpful and professional, doing everything in their power to make our stay unforgettable.
